Chargers Close Region IV Slate With 3-0 Loss at Lake County

The Carl Sandburg College men’s soccer team closed the Region IV portion of its schedule with a 3-0 loss at Lake County on Wednesday.
The Lancers (7-7-3, 6-7-3) took a 1-0 lead into halftime and scored on three of their four shots in the contest. The Chargers (6-12-2, 6-8-2) were held off the scoreboard for the second straight game despite totaling 11 shots.
Sandburg finishes its Region IV scheduled with 20 points, coming up five points shy of the eighth and final spot to qualify for the Region IV tournament.
The Chargers will wrap up their season at 1 p.m. Sunday at Knox JV.
